Also organised ladies workshops for Ladies – planning monthly Ladies Fellowship meetings covering different aspects such as spiritual, social and intellectual.  Organising guest speakers covering these different aspects and obviously not forgetting the tea and eats.  Founded and chaired the Ladyviro Ladies Club of the Department of Environment Affairs where the working ladies were treated to a monthly outing discovering what the Western Cape has to offer – these included organizing workshops including cooking, jewel making, pottery, factory workshops, hiking, boating and obviously transport to the different venues!

There are other things too, too many to mention – ask, maybe we can do it, want to do it… excellently as we believe “Excellence is not an event, it is a habit” Aristotle

It all started quite innocently…

In 1991 Christa qualified as a road running official and started officiating in the Western Province as time keeper and referee.  She went on to qualify and officiate at both track & field and cross country.  During this time she also took up different positions as club secretary and secretary of WPVA and was invited to serve on the Cape Town Marathon.  In 1998 after taking the severance packing from the SA Defense Force (SA Navy), she got involved in race administration working part time for Lubellker.  Top Events were established and answering the phone and data capturing followed, packing race packs and overseeing number collection at different race registrations followed.  In 2002 became the race administrator for Die Burger Sanlam Cycle Tour and were introduced to how event administration is done in the cycling world.  From this office the contact came in for the Nedcor Road Show and eventually the appointment at the Two Oceans Marathon Office in 2004.
